Bruncha Muncha

So....it's been a while.

New Job, new life basically.

New restuarant is very challenging in just about everyway- and I love it.....for the most part. Haha. Every job comes with its pros and cons, right?

for now, I'm focusing on the pros.............

So this is a baking post.

Scones on scones on scones.

We run a scratch kitchen- and I mean it when I say that everything is from scratch- we even smoke our own bacon. Boom bitches.

So on sundays we have brunch, because we hate ourselves and want to feel what hell is like before we actually get there.

Seriously, whoever thought brunch was a good idea is the devil.  Lets run a completely different menu the day after the busiest day of the week. Sure our cooks will be on their A game and everything will be wonderful and we all will have rainbows pouring out of our asses in pure joy and happiness.

Also, eggs benedict and hollandaise sauce is the what you need to summon the titans of doom.

SO

I bake. I make donuts and muffins and scones every sunday. Joy.

So enjoy my pictures of what I've made over the past few months.

Scones on scones on scones
Blackberry Lime scone with a fresh lime glaze

Blood Orange and dark chocolate muffin

Blueberry and Banana Oatmeal power muffin

Caramelized Onion and Herb scone

Cheddar Bacon and Chive Scone

Buttermilk waffles, fried chicken and a spicy maple bbq sauce. Because yes.

It was  Pie Day. So I made a coconut cream pie scone.

Frying up some apple cider donut holes

Double chocolate raspberry muffins

So we had some health nuts wanting something healthy. So here, have some house made granola and shut your brunch loving piehole.

I had some hibiscus flowers, made a syrup. Bam. Hibiscus and lemon tea cake.

St. Patty's Day. Irish coffee scone with a coffee glaze.

Easter. Lemon and rosemary scone with a lemon rosemary glaze.

Maple oatmeal scone with a cinnamon glaze

Maple Pumpkin scone with a cinnamon glaze. Chai tea muffin with pistachio

I swear I do more than just bake. At least that's what I tell myself. A few days I get to actually touch pans and cook. Whoa there. I know, I know. Slow your role Brady, you're a girl!

I'll get there....someday...

Here's some more spam from my kitchen adventures...

Valentines Day, we got it hard. But it was a blast and we did great.

Ticket stack from Valentine's Day dinner
Roasted Beet salad

 Bread Pudding

Fuck you burn.

Fresh Burrata salad with red wine cranberry sauce, shaved Brussels sprouts and orange segments

Vanilla and lemon cheesecake on a roasted raspberry and rhubarb compote with candied rhubarb

Red Sox opening day called for some housemade cracker jacks. Sadly, this batch doesn't come with a prize in each box.

When I sous vide some creme brulee, I become a jenga master via tongs.

We use our apple cider donuts in our amazeballs donut sundae, served with housemade salted caramel and dark chocolate ganache.

Making some bread dough.

Potato topped focaccia

Rhubarb almond cake

Raspberry and rhubarb compote about to hop in the oven to roasted bliss.

So yea, overall I am loving what I've been doing in the kitchen lately. I know there will be more to come my way and I can't wait to see what I can get into.
